Product Inspirations: Magazine Inspirations

These are the magazines which will inspire me and that I will base my work off. Having these all in one place allows me to examine common themes and helps me to build up my own ideas. I need inspiration to base my ideas off to ensure that I obey conventions to the best of my ability.
 The national magazines front covers inspire me due to their use of color and layout. They use bright colors to draw in attention and the layouts make the page seem more full. As well as this, the poses are interesting and the images look very professional.
The layout of the contents pages are also interesting, especially the image placement. They are all very unique and this means that I can play around and experiment with the images I use. The articles also use images very well, especially color within the images. They also have a good text to image ratio which meet the visual needs of a magazine such as this.
Finally, the regional magazine inspirations show me what I need to do to qualify as a regional magazine and how to appeal to a regional audience. I can learn a great deal from these sorts of magazines.
